Serbia’s election: 40 items from 7 outlets
This desk follows what media in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States publish about the election — and it does not copy, it counts and links. Every item has an outlet, a city, a date and a link to the original.
A temporary edition. The desk is switched off and archived when the electoral process ends; until then its figures refresh from the city editions’ archive, not from memory.
What this edition follows
All items: 40 published
The complete list, ordered by publication time. No filtering by political option and no omission of uncomfortable items.
Who writes and how much: outlets, cities, days
The table shows one thing only: how many items meet the method’s criterion. It does not show bias, reach or truth.
Incidents and tension: 6 items
This is not a list of incidents — it is a list of items that mention an incident. The difference matters, which is why it is in the first sentence.
Outlets the desk reads
The desk does not pick outlets by sympathy. The archive carries whatever the eight city editions ingest, and public feeds are read from a fixed list.…
01Numbers from the archive
The desk started on 22 October 2026 and runs until the electoral process ends. These are not election results or turnout estimates: they are counts of published items in the archive, by outlet and by day, with the method at the bottom. The archive was refreshed on 22. 10. 2026.
02Latest
The last twelve items, without selection or omission.
03Safety and incidents
6 items (15,0%) in the archive mention an incident, clash, police, arrest or blockade. The list is on a separate page, with the same rule: every item has an original.

Terms, without fog
Ten terms that decide how a story reads. Each definition is short on purpose.
Voter register
The list of people entitled to vote. Registered is not the same as turned out — which is why the desk does not derive turnout from the register.
Constituency
The area that elects a set number of seats. Boundaries change the value of a vote and are therefore often disputed.
Threshold
The minimum share of the vote a list needs to enter parliament. The threshold is a legal category and has changed; no figure appears here without a source.
Seat
One seat in parliament. Seats are allocated by list order, so the order of candidates is itself a political decision.
Election silence
The period in which campaign content and polls may not be published. Its start and end are set by law, not by the newsroom.
Turnout
The share of voters who cast a ballot. Until electoral bodies publish it, any figure is an estimate — and estimates are not shown as results.
Observers
Domestic and international observers watching polling stations. Their reports are a source, but not a decision by the electoral body.
Electoral fraud
Acts that breach electoral procedure. A fraud claim requires evidence; on this desk an unsourced claim does not enter.
Coalition
An alliance of lists or parties running together. A coalition vote is divided by internal agreement, not by the voter’s preference.
Monitoring desk
This format: it does not poll, forecast or rewrite the news — it records what was published, where and when, and links to the original.
Questions that keep coming back
Is this an election forecast?
No. The desk counts media items. It does not report polls as results, estimate turnout, or predict a winner.
How often is it updated?
Whenever the editions archive refreshes — usually every two hours. The page is built from the same files, so the figures cannot drift from the archive.
Sources
Every source below is public and checkable. Where a page cites a figure, the figure comes from one of these documents — and the document has a date.
- DanasA Belgrade daily; covers election topics in its politics section.
- N1 SrbijaTelevision and portal; publishes announcements, statements and election analysis.
- Nova.rsBelgrade portal; follows the campaign, party rallies and local races.
